MCCrypt Pro can be extended by two additional components. Both tools are used for the secure administration and generation of passwords on Smartcards and on flash storage mediums.

MCKeyCard
MCKeyCard is a tool for the administration of Smartcards. The password on the card will be produced through a cryptographically secure pseudo random number generator. The number of passwords a Smartcard can store depends on the storage capacity, but it can be up to 32.000 passwords (with offset shift it will be at the most 216.000). Every produced Smartcard is unique. The contents of Smartcards can be copied to another Smartcard or can be saved on the hard disk by an additional function of MCKeyCard. The copying of cards is the only possibility to allow the access to shared encrypted data for a closed user group. Smartcards can be protected through a master password to prevent unauthorized access to data in the case of a loss of the card. The access of passwords on the Smartcard is moreover protected by a cryptographic function.

MCMemoryKey
MCMemoryKey manages and creates password files on removable media (USB flash memory, removable disks, flash disks, Memorysticks, and other). The password on the removable medium are generated through a cryptographically secure pseudo random number generator. The size of the password file was restricted with 32.000 passwords (with offset shift it will be at the most 1.730.000). Also the password files produced by MCMemoryKey are unique. Because this files can be copied more easily an additional procedure for the authentication and integrity check of the files was implemented. Password files can be protected, like described before at the Smartcards section, through a set master password. This protects the encrypted data in the case of a loss of the file (the medium) from unauthorized access. The access of passwords on the password files is also protected by a cryptographic function.
