Overview

MCSecureMail is a E-Mail client that supports strong encryption algorithms, Message Authentication Codes (MAC) as well as Manipulation Detection Codes (MDC) for the secure transmission of messages and file attachments. The functionality of MCSecureMail was mainly focused onto the sending of E-Mails.

The design of MCSecureMail was also focussed on a compact and fast E-Mail client. All used files are stored in one folder: Program, configuration file, address book and per mailbox a file.

The encryption of E-Mail messages can be done with the following algorithms: Rijndael, Serpent, Twofish, RC6, Blowfish and spceialized XOR algorithms. The Message Authentication Code (MAC) can be calculated over the E-Mail messages as welle as their file attachments. For that the following algorithms are integrated: Rijndael (CBCMAC, CCMMAC, COAMAC), RC6 (CBCMAC, CCMMAC, COAMAC), Serpent (CBCMAC, CCMMAC, COAMAC), Twofish (CBCMAC, CCMMAC, COAMAC), MD5 (HMAC), SHA1 (HMAC), SHA224 (HMAC), SHA256 (HMAC), SHA384 (HMAC) and SHA512 (HMAC). It is possible to generate in addition for E-Mail messages and their file attachments the Manipulation Detection Code (MDC). For that the following Hash algorithms are implemented: CRCs, FCS, GHash, GOST-Hash, HAVAL, MD2, MD4, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512 and TIGER.
